Annual General Meeting

The date for this year's AGM is Sunday 12th October 2025, to be held at Stoneleigh Village Hall. The hall will be available from 11.30am until 4:00pm with coffee and biscuits available on arrival, but if you need anything more substantial please feel free to bring a picnic lunch.

The meeting will commence at 12.45pm, beginning with a tribute to Patricia Wilson, a longstanding member of the BGSS who recently passed away at home in Derbyshire.

The agenda, minutes of the last meeting, proxy voting paper and election of officers (Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary) and council will be made available to all members in advance of the meeting.

Resolutions or any reference to change of rules must reach the Secretary on or before 29th September in order for the members to be informed and vote accordingly. Please bear in mind the Postal Services are not what they used to be so an email would be preferable, and no phone calls as it must be in writing.

Our chairman Maureen Newman has indicated that she will not be standing for re-election as she feels she has given everything she can, so will make way for a fresh approach with a new face to take the Society forward. Please give this some thought, and ensure prior to the meeting that nominees are willing to stand.
